KILLEN ELEMENTERY 9TH GRADE FIFTY YEAR REUNION

Judy McMurtry, Johnny Mcgee and Pat Oldham

Judy McMurtrey, Patricia LeMay, and Pat Oldham

We had our annual gathering of our ninth grade class at the Killen founders day celebration. There was a grand total of three there this time. Not that we are the only three left, but we were the only three that showed up this year. We did manage to get a picture of Johnny McGee before we left. He wasn't there for the planning of the 50Th year reunion of our ninth grade class but I'm sure we will put him to work doing something.
Judy is going to be in charge of contacting our classmates. She must have the phone number and the address of every person she has ever met in her entire life. When we had our 30Th reunion she ran up an enormous phone bill. She doesn't just call and give you the details, she calls and catches up on everything that has happened in the last 50 years. That is why we love her so much, she keeps up with people and things that has happened over the years that everyone else has forgotten years ago.
Patricia is taking care of finding a place to meet. As of right now she is looking at the community room at the Center Star bank. We had a reunion there once before and had lots of space and the plenty of kitchen room. Patricia has the business sense to pull all that together.
I will be in charge of the food. I guess because I work in food service they thought I knew what I was doing in this department. If anyone has any suggestions please contact me.
I am hoping classmates will find this by googling other classmates so I'm listing a few names. Linda Garrett, Meryle Fulks, Gaylord Ashby, Ted Wiley, Linda Miller, Clora Gautney, Beverly Hice, Mary Ann Crow, Sondra Littrell, Jerry Tank.
The date we are shooting for is November the 6Th. This will be on a Saturday. We are hoping for a nice turn out. We are planning on lots of 50's-60's music, good food and catching up with old friends. I'm sure it will be interesting to see how much everyone has changed over the last 50 years. If anyone has stayed the same you will have made medical history and the rest of us will be looking for an explanation. Hope to see you in November
